Great Schools Maryland: Great Public Schools for Every Child
Great Schools Maryland
welcome!
About Us

The Great Public Schools for Every Child campaign is sponsored by the Maryland State Teachers Association (MSTA), the state’s largest professional organization including more than 70,000 members in 40 local associations.

MSTA is an affiliate of the 3.2 million-member National Education Association. Members at the local, state and national levels include elementary and secondary teachers, support professionals, paraprofessionals, school administrators, retired educators, higher education faculty and students preparing to become teachers.

MSTA is the voice of Maryland educators on issues that have a direct impact on student and school success such as school funding, testing, federal and state standards, workload, salaries and benefits, school safety, minority achievement gaps, class size, teacher certification, and professional development.

MSTA encourages anyone who cares deeply about students and public education to join us in sharing success stories in our schools, identifying areas of greatest need, and lobbying for the funding and other assistance needed for every child in Maryland to attend great public schools.
